Which Wood Heater?
Which Wood Heater is Best For You?
The Clean Air Woodheating range of wood heaters includes Freestanding Wood Heaters, Fireplace Inserts, and the Zero Clearance range. The best wood heater for you depends on your situation, requirements and preferences.
The Freestanding Wood Heater range, also called the Console range, requires no existing fireplace or chimney and the whole wood heater is on display, including the flue.
The Fireplace Insert range is used with existing fireplaces and chimneys, and comes in a number of styles, from Standard through to heritage style Edwardian and Victorian. Fireplace Inserts must be installed into a full brick masonry chimney.
If there is no fireplace or chimney, the Zero Clearance range is an alternative to a Freestanding Wood Heater. A Zero Clearance Z-System wood heater is available in sizes medium or large with a Standard, Victorian or Edwardian fascia.
The table below outlines some of the design differences within the Clean Air Woodheating range and will help identify the type of wood heater that is best for you.
